A travel day for us, our destination for today is the St. George Island in the Florida Panhandle. It’s a 337 mile drive, so we didn't meet our 330 rule, but that’s OK.
After coffee and cereal at our campsite we w ere on the road by 8:45 AM. Joni and I both agree that the Skidaway Island State Park campground is one of the nicest that we’ve visited. The scenery, privacy, cleanliness of bathroom facilities are all a 10.
We have this site reserved for two nights and we have another 2 night reservation at Ochlockonee River State Park. We booked these sites in early October, but were not able to reserve one site for 4 nights in a row even that far in advance. Camping along Florida’s coast is obviously popular!
This is our 5th visit to the Redneck Riviera in the last six years; we love it.
We relaxed at our campsite for a bit before heading to Port St. Joe for dinner at “Joe Mama's” for pizza. It was delicious.
